How 'the highland walking society' works:

Each New Year, members of 'The Highland Walking Society' receive an e-mail detailing proposed walking destinations for the coming year. Typical destinations include European mountain regions such as the Alps, Dolomites, Pyrenees and Greece (the islands and mountains) as well as some destinations much further afield, such as Tibet, Morocco, Georgia, Ethiopia and Tajikistan. The mountain journeys vary in grade and are tailored for differing abilities.

All trips are led by Bruce Brebner a qualified International Mountain Leader.

Costs are kept low with travel, accommodation and food being provided 'at cost' with the only additional expense being a fee to cover research, reconnaissance, organisation and leadership charged by Bruce and then split between the group involved.
