Walking in the Greek Islands

'The highland walking society' offers Spring walking trips to the Greek islands. Spring comes early to the islands bringing with it an abundance of wild flowers, to a landscape already green following the winter rains. The warm days make an ideal walking temperature and the Cyclades are idyllic at this time of year. We chose islands that have escaped mass tourism, which are even more relaxed and quiet out of season. Each island offers a slightly different character and provides a rich variety of day walks on ancient pathways through terraced fields past tiny chapels down to secluded coves and beaches. While there is some ascending and descending involved, the walks are generally easy and leisurely.

The HWS offer bespoke guiding in the Greek islands during every spring and autumn.
